Recent: I have been exploring image-to-video generative AI with Runway. Their prompt best practices are fairly straightforward. I described a handheld shot of a ranch dog, excitedly focused on something off-screen and to the left as he walks towards it.
You can see the original still photo that I uploaded to Runway below. The original image cropped off the legs. I wanted to see how Runway would compensate. I was impressed with the interpretation of textures and the overall movement.

Recent: I have spent a lot of time on LinkedIn lately.
The first thing I noticed was my deep dislike for the only badge LinkedIn offers job seekers for their profile photo: the green #OPENTOWORK badge. It's the visual equivalent of the "cone of shame" on your dog. It's hard to feel good about putting that badge on your profile pic. It screams desperation to me.
So, I created two alternative sets of transparent PNG badges (Fun & Confident and Serious & Confident) for anyone looking for work on LinkedIn to download for free.
To kickstart the effort, I developed four humorous promo layouts and posted them with links to download the new PNG badge files.
It seems I tapped into a common frustration, as the response has been overwhelmingly positive, with over 25,000 impressions in seven days.
